On this page are photos from another friend and member of Chesham Camera Club, Wilf Clarke. Wilf is an enthusiastic photographer who still uses film to capture his images. The equipment he uses is a Nikon F5 along with lenses of varying magnification to enable him to take the images you will see below.
Biography
I am an amateur photographer based in Chesham Buckinghamshire, with an interest in photography for over forty years. I became further involved after purchasing my first " serious" camera some 25 years ago. A few years later I purchased a Nikon 808s slr camera, I then began to process my films and prints in the darkroom. About four years ago I decided to change over from wet to dry processing.
Upon my retirement 2 years ago things changed for me dramatically . I now have the advantage of being able to devote most of any spare time to photography. Content when I am in "the field" with a camera, not over serious photographer, but one who enjoys and gets a lot of pleasure out of this hobby. Main subjects are Natural History, Landscapes and anything to do with the countryside.
I take photos using a Nikon F5 slr. images are processed at a professional lab, all my films are then scanned using a Minolta Dimage Scan Multi 2 film scanner. This can produce uncompressed tiff images up to 2820 dpi (16bit) or about 61MB in size. Images are then processed in Photoshop7. Prints are created up to A3 size using an Epson 1290 printer
